Welcome to Quantum Foundations 0.2 - EMA Crossover!
You've mastered RSI Basics in v0.1. Now you're building the second core skill: Trend Analysis with Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs). This version teaches you to identify trends and spot high-probability crossover signals.

Prerequisite Required: ✅ You MUST complete Quantum Foundations v0.1 (RSI Basics) first!

Learning Objectives:

• Understand what EMAs are and how they differ from simple moving averages

• Identify bullish (fast EMA crosses ABOVE slow EMA) and bearish (fast EMA crosses BELOW slow EMA) signals

• Determine overall trend direction using EMA alignment

• Learn to wait for crossovers (not just EMA positions)

• Prepare for v0.3 where we combine RSI + EMA for powerful confirmations

Indicator-Specific Setup

Installation:

1. First, ensure you've completed v0.1 (achieved 80%+ progress)

2. In TradingView, open Pine Script editor

3. Copy and paste the entire Quantum Foundations 0.2 - EMA Crossover code

4. Click "Add to Chart"

5. CRITICAL: Check the box: ✅ I completed RSI Basics (v0.1) in Prerequisites section

Default Settings That Work:

• Fast EMA: 12 periods (blue, responsive)

• Slow EMA: 26 periods (orange, smooth)

• All educational features: ON

• Show EMA Lessons: ON

• Show Crossover Signals: ON

• Show Trend Analysis: ON

Our Settings Explanation

🎓 Educational Settings:

• Show EMA Lessons: Toggles the educational dashboard (top-right)

• Show Crossover Signals: Displays triangle markers for crossovers

• Show Trend Analysis: Colors chart background based on trend (green=bullish, red=bearish, gray=neutral)

📊 EMA Configuration:

• Fast EMA (12): Shorter period EMA (1-50). Reacts quickly to price changes. We use 12 as standard.

• Slow EMA (26): Longer period EMA (10-100). Shows overall trend. We use 26 as standard.

• Show Signal Line: Toggles the signal line display (both EMAs must be shown for crossovers)

Trading Rules Using Our System Only

GOLDEN RULE: EMA CROSSOVERS WORK BEST IN TRENDING MARKETS, NOT RANGES!

Our Specific Trading Rules:

1. Bullish Crossover Signal:

   • Fast EMA (blue) crosses ABOVE Slow EMA (orange)

   • Chart background turns GREEN

   • Green triangle appears BELOW bar

   • ✅ Consider BUY/LONG position

   • Confirmation required: Wait for next candle to close above Fast EMA

2. Bearish Crossover Signal:

   • Fast EMA (blue) crosses BELOW Slow EMA (orange)

   • Chart background turns RED

   • Red triangle appears ABOVE bar

   • ✅ Consider SELL/SHORT position

   • Confirmation required: Wait for next candle to close below Fast EMA

3. Trend Direction (No Crossover Yet):

   • Bullish Trend: Fast EMA > Slow EMA (green background)

   • Bearish Trend: Fast EMA < Slow EMA (red background)

   • Neutral/No Trend: Fast EMA ≈ Slow EMA (gray background)

   • Important: Trend direction alone is NOT a trade signal!

4. Combining with v0.1 Skills:

   • ✅ Bullish Crossover + RSI Oversold = STRONG BUY SIGNAL

   • ✅ Bearish Crossover + RSI Overbought = STRONG SELL SIGNAL

   • (We'll practice this extensively in v0.3)

Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions:

1. "No crossovers showing on my chart"

   • Check: Market must be trending (not sideways)

   • Check: Show Crossover Signals is ON

   • Check: You're using default periods (12/26) or appropriate settings for your timeframe

2. "Background colors not changing"

   • Check: Show Trend Analysis is ON in Educational Settings

   • Check: EMAs are properly calculated (no errors in data feed)

3. "Achievements not unlocking"

   • Must have prerequisite checked: ✅ I completed RSI Basics (v0.1)

   • Some achievements require specific market conditions

   • Ensure you're trading during active market hours

4. "EMA lines too close together"

   • Adjust periods: Increase difference (e.g., 9/21, 10/30, 8/34)

   • Try on higher timeframes (4H, Daily) for clearer signals

5. "Too many false signals"

   • EMA crossovers work best in trends, not ranges

   • Add confirmation: Wait for next candle close

   • Combine with v0.1 RSI for better filtering (coming in v0.3)
